When you don't live in town, you generally aren't hooked up to a municipal water source. That means that you have to have another way to get the water that you need to have at your house. You could always decide to have it trucked out to your house and store it in a cistern, but that isn't really practical. That can get really expensive and can mean that you have to ration out your water. The much more practical method is to have a well. A well will make sure that you always have the water that you need, at least as long as your well doesn't dry up and your well pump keeps going. If you aren't getting any water from your well, you may be having problems with your pump. There are some things that you can check to make sure that's the problem so you can get it fixed.
You probably have filters are in between your well and your house's water intake system. That keeps anything from getting from your well into your house. Those filters should be changed regularly. If they haven't been changed frequently enough, they can get dirty enough that they can almost completely block the water from getting to your house from your well.
Another thing that you need to check is to make sure that you have power running to your water well pumps. There are a couple of places that you are going to need to check in order to make sure that you have power. One place to check is in your house. You need to check at your circuit breaker to see if the circuit is working. If the breaker is switched off, that means that no power is getting to your well pump. If the circuit breaker immediately turns off when you turn it back on, you likely have a short in the system, and you need to leave the breaker off until you can get someone out to look at it. A short circuit is all kinds of dangerous. If the breaker is on, then it's time to go to the well pump and make sure that it has power. If it has power and still isn't working, then you need to call a professional to come in and fix it for you.
If you have a well, you need to have a functioning pump in order to get the water from your well to your house.Share
